Igenix IG9919
The IG9919 is the value choice: a true 4-in-1 with cooling, heating, dehumidify and fan modes plus a 24-hour timer, usually under £300. Its lower 840W draw gives the best efficiency here (around 3.1 EER), though the 9,000 BTU output limits it to smaller rooms up to 20m².

The MC10000CH is the most capable of Meaco's standard MC range and has earned strong reviews for serious cooling at a sensible price. It clears larger living rooms up to 28m², adds genuine winter heating, and ships with both rigid and flexible window kits. Bulky and single-hose, but the performance-per-pound is hard to fault.
