Our verdict
The Seiya is Toshiba's budget wall unit and the cheapest way into a quality Japanese-engineered split. Despite the entry-level billing its SCOP of 4.6 is respectable, so it works well as an affordable air-to-air heat pump for a single room. You trade away built-in Wi-Fi (an optional adapter is needed) and top-end cooling efficiency, but for the money it is hard to fault.
Pros
- Lowest installed price here
- Good heating SCOP for the class
- Quiet 19 dB(A) silent mode
Cons
- Wi-Fi requires an optional adapter
- Only A++/A+ efficiency
