EcoFlow STREAM Ultra
All-in-one balcony system: 800W microinverter, a built-in 1.92kWh LFP battery and 4-channel MPPT, so you store the day's generation and use it at night.
Not legal to self-install as plug-in solar
This system stores energy, which the UK plug-in solar rules (SI 2026/848) exclude. It can't be used under the plug-in route, so in Great Britain it needs a hardwired installation by a qualified electrician.

Our verdict
A capable all-in-one system, with 2,000W of PV input across four trackers and a built-in battery, and one of Europe's best-sellers. But in Great Britain the built-in battery rules it out of the plug-in route: it can't be self-installed under the current rules. Worth watching if plug-in batteries are allowed after DESNZ's safety study.
Good
- Built-in 1.92kWh battery
- 4 MPPTs / 2,000W PV input
- Expandable storage
- Slick app
Watch out
- Not legal to self-install in GB (integrated battery)
- Panels bought separately
- Premium price vs inverter-only kits
