Enphase IQ8MC Microinverter

Different in kind from everything else in this category. Each IQ8MC sits behind one panel and puts out a maximum of 330W of AC on its own, so the catalogue's 0.33kW is a per-unit figure, and a real installation is a string of them. That buys per-module MPPT (shading on one panel does not drag the rest down), low-voltage DC on the roof, and rapid shutdown. The datasheet's 1.43A maximum output current means G98 headroom is a question of how many units you fit, not of one unit: Enphase's own limit is 11 units on a 16A single-phase circuit. Maximum efficiency is 97.5%, warranty up to 25 years provided an internet-connected IQ Gateway is installed.

Solis S6-GR1P3.6K

A plain PV-only inverter for a roof with no battery planned. Its datasheet rated grid output current is 16.0A at 220V (15.7A at 230V), and a 16.0A maximum output current, so it sits on the G98 line rather than above it. Two MPPTs on a 3.6kW unit is generous for the size, and a 5.4kW recommended maximum PV input gives real headroom for a DC-oversized array. It weighs 11.2kg and the enclosure is IP66.
